If I Take The Wings #993291
“Jane Roman Pitt’s piece, “If I Take The Wings” (from Psalm 139) is a lovely flowing a cappella musical setting for SATB choir. The English is expressed sensitively and allows the singers to enjoy the beautiful sweep of the music and the lushness of the chords. We use it often in services, to the delight of the congregation. It is a gem. “Cantor Lori Corrsin Congregation Emanu-El of the City of New York
I Am of Sarah #993272
A song that pays tribute to some of the inspiring women that share the heritage of Jewish history with the modern Jewish woman, dedicated to “my mothers and their mothers, my daughters and their daughters.” Written for SSA choir and piano, “Sarah” is melodic, accessible, and easily learned.
“I was delighted that we had more than eight hundred people in attendance to hear your fabulous music. Everyone privileged to join us for this service was impressed with the beauty of holiness.” Cantor Harold Orbach, Temple Israel, West Bloomfield, Michigan
“We have performed “I Am of Sarah” several times. The overwhelming response each time was elation and joy from the audience.” Marilyn Krimm, Director, Chaverim B’Shirim, Ann Arbor, Michigan
Kumi Lach
(Arise, My Darling, And Come Away) #993235
A capella SATB setting of the Song of Solomon 2:10-13. In Hebrew, the meter switches between common time and 7/8 for a biblical dance-like feel. Harmonically interesting but accessible, this exciting piece is appropriate for high-school, college, and seasoned congregational choirs.
“I was captivated by the haunting themes and energized rhythms. The choral energy seems to burst off of the printed page. Thank you for permitting me and the Eastern Michigan Chamber Choir the priviledge of premiering this gorgeous work.” Dr. Leonard L. Riccento, Director of Choral Activities, Eastern Michigan University
Remember #993292
“Remember” approaches Hanukah from the historical perspective—no latkes or dredels in sight—and tells the story of ancient courage and faith with an original poetic text. It is an a capella piece for SATB choir of easy intermediate level with flute and tambourine accompaniment. A simple key change and section for solo quartet add to the interest. It is perfect for high school, temple, or community choirs.
